Ingredients
- 2 cups quick cooking oats ( I use McCann’s quick oatmeal)
- 1/2 cup natural peanut butter or almond butter ( I use Trader Joe’s that contains flaxseeds already in it)
- 4 Scoops Isagenix (or any organic whey ) Protein powder, vanilla flavored
- 1/2 cup almond milk (vanilla flavored either low fat or regular)
- 1/2 tsp almond extract or vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp ground flaxseeds if you didn’t use almond or peanut butter with flax already optional 1/2 cup favorite low sugar jam or preserves (strawberry, grape , blackberry, etc)
Preparation
1. Mix all ingredients together except jam which you will spread on at the end.
2. Line square baking pan with wax paper. Spread mixture using spatula in the pan.
3. Top with jam or preserves
4. Freeze for 30 or more minutes
5. Remove from freezer and cut into bars. I keep it in the freezer because I like them cold.
